Borgin and Burkes

Borgin and Burkes is a shop located at 13B, Knockturn Alley. It sells objects of dark magic and other dangerous magical artifacts, including the Hand of Glory, an assortment of human bones, a hangman's rope, a cursed necklace, and an array of leering masks that line the walls.

Praxis chuckled when Andrew scolded the dog but once they were inside the shop she was off to look around. She was never the type of girl to go out shopping for trivial things, but this store had a way of getting to her. When he came buy and the kiss was over she smirked. "I already have what I want." she whispered before kissing him again and wrapping her arms around him. When her head laid on his chest and she looked around at everything and wondered where Borgin was. Moments later the old man limped out and growled under his breath. Praxis didn't move away but she let Andrew if he wanted to. She didn't want to ruin whatever reputation he had in the dark wizard community.

"What do 'er youngin' wont?" Borgin said with a scowl. When the two turned toward him he instantly calmed a little, but still had that cruel appearance. "Eh, you back gurl?" he said looking at Praxis, remembering how she had been even a bit eerie to him when she came into the store and looked around freely and happily as if she had no goodness in her soul. Apparently she did, however.

Since her absence, Andrew had indeed earned a new reputation of being quite merciless. He let her drop her arms, but kept an arm around her. There was no sign of a smirk or grin present, and his eyes themselves seemed to darken, the silver in them flickering madly. He kept Praxis at his side, almost as if to say she was his and Borgin couldn't have her. Finally, after giving the old man a look, he let his hand slip from her but not before kissing her with a slight hint of roughness. "Go ahead, look around. It's Valentines Day and I have enough to get whatever you want in this place." He shooed her away gently, Cerberus following. Pyaimia gave a happy flap of wing and Andrews hooded eyes roamed to barely see her as he grinned. "She's still looking," Andrew told Borgin darkly. "But I require something specific." After an odd look given to him by the man, Andrew said, "Don't look at me like that, I'll leave you dead on this floor without a second thought old man."

"Apologies, sir," Borgin grunted. "Perhaps you'd like a word in... private?" the man said, his eyes glancing over Praxis, a small hint of a sick hunger floating in them. A longing that blatantly said he had been alone for some time.

Andrew was at the counter in an instant, his hand holding Borgin's head down on the counter. "You settle that filthy stare on her again and I'll be sure you never look upon another man's woman again. You here me?" he growled menacingly in the shopkeepers ear. He pushed down before letting Borgin stand upright and by the time the old mans quivering eyes met Andrews, his fangs had elongated and were showing though his mouth was closed. He didn't give Praxis any kind of look, no, his eyes remained fixed on the man behind the counter. "You have a backroom. We'll talk there," he said firmly. It was not an invitation, but a demand for Borgin to take Andrew to the back room for a moment. Just before he went though the doorway, he turned to Praxis. "Pick something out. anything. If you need me, call for me," he told her, a little stiffly, before following the limping old man into the back. He hated leaving her out there without him, he didn't like being apart from her, but Desdemona needed an artifact that only Borgin could provide, and so Andrew was sent to retrieve it.

Praxis couldn't help how cruel she was. When Andrew threatened the man she let out a dark, oddly tempting chuckle that only grew in power as he actually hurt the man. She was loving what her vampire could do and she didn't mind one bit that it was because of her. Of course Andrew would change when it came to image, but the odd thought about all, she liked it. A lot. That kiss has her bitting her lip and after she finished chuckling she was bitting it again. As she looked around she really couldn't think of anything she liked. But she knew Andrew, he'd press for her to buy something, and she knew she wouldn't be able to argue with him. Either way, she was picky. It wasn't until she found her way onto the upper level of the store, for it had expanded during the years, that she found something she wanted. There was a room set upstairs, why she didn't know because it was odd for them to have things like that while also selling all the other items just below the railing, but she knew she had to have it. It was a set of beds, bunk beds, carved with dragons as supports that moved and spewed fire or some other element. The beds themselves each had a curtain, the top having a little tent like area, and the stares hovered when they were drawn out. But best of all, next to the set was a black onyx crib laced with dark emerald bedding and adorned with all sorts of dark creatures. She tested out both and saw no overly harmful spells and the rest could be taken care of later of course. But it would be perfect for Dreama, Cryus and their own little baby that would be coming. Sure it was a little too soon to think about the crib but she couldn't help it. It looked perfect.

Not long after she heard Andrew below and leaned over the edge. Cerberus barked at her heals to get his attention and she waved him up. Without saying a word she watched his face, wondering what his reaction would be. If he didn't like the set she'd think of something else but she hoped he would.

Andrew came out the back room, Borgin behind him and looking white as a ghost. Andrews fangs were still showing, though they were not bloodstained. He gave the man a curt nod before he looked up and ascended the stairs to his soon-to-be-bride. She said nothing to him, but Andrew saw just what she was looking at. He walked to the bunk beds first Dreama and Cyrus floating into his mind. Oh, how he missed them so. He ran his handover the smooth wood, a gently smile in his eyes but not his mouth. "Perfect," he said, acknowledging the lovely curtains. "They'll love it." He then moved to the crib and a real smile flooded his face. A dark smile almost. He had to have the crib and, when he looked at her, he realized she did too. He moved to the railing, calling down to the shopkeeper. "We're taking this," he said once the man limped his way to he top of the steps. "Have it sent to my manor, not the empty one, but mine. Here," he thrust the gold into the mans hands. He let Praxis descend the steps first, then the shopkeeper, who kept his eyes on the stairs and his head down. This made Andrew smirk a little. He led her out of the shop quickly though, Cerberus having to jog to keep up. "Is there anywhere you want to go, before we try to find the mutt and go home?" he asked, actually grinning as he spoke of Ash this time.

Praxis grinned, glad he saw what she did. When he said they were buying the lot she let her grin turn nearly cruel, but her eyes shined with nothing but admiration for Andrew, and of course love. But for someone who didn't know how to read her, they might think she was staring at him as if intent to rip his head off. Borgin's fear of Andrew had her laughing in her head but on the outside she remained silent other than a sinful chuckle. Moving to the stares she walked like she always did, but that simple walk was nearly as sinful and alluring as her chuckle or cruel stare. She couldn't help it, its what her race was known for. Or, what they weren't known for yet but could have been. As they left Praxis looked back with a final gaze into the store and shot Borgin and look that could have been nearly as dangerous as Andrew's fangs. She meant death in that stare, death to him if even one thought against her soon to be husband appeared to him. As Cerberus caught up she looked down and grinned a bit at him before looking back at Andrew's. "Not really..." her stomach growled slightly and she laughed a little. "Just a little hungry but that can wait."

"No. It can not." Andrew told her firmly as he looked around the streets. "But we have to find Ash. Just in case," he finished, eying her stomach. "Last time you ate was brutal. We'll find him, head home, eat there. Yes, that'll be good." He seemed to be talking to himself, because he was mumbling and looking around as he thought out loud. Where in the wold could he be... he wondered anxiously. His love was hungry and he wanted to get her home where she could be most comfortable, but Ash wasn't in sight. "Damn you werewolves..." he muttered under his breath. "Just like one to run out on the job... if anything happens to you I swear I'll..." He let his sentence fall. He wasn't quite sure what he would do, but it damn sue would be worse than last time. And last time he damn near killed the poor boy. No, if anything happened to his Praxis, Andrew would torture him until he begged for death... and probably long after. "C'mon," he said, taking her hand gently.

Ash walked up behind the two and tapped Andrew's shoulder. "What was that about werewolves?" He smirked slightly and looked Praxis over to make sure she was alright. "I wasn't far, just figured you two wanted to be alone. I'm not going to breath down your throats." He reached out and took Praxis's arm, putting a finger at her wrist to time her pulse. It was speeding up. "We should go before the young gets too hungry and starts revolting again." He let her go and took a step back, letting Andrew lead.

A slight chuckle left her lips when Ash showed up simply because Andrew had been so upset and yet where the mutt was. Her hand was still on her stomach when he took it and put a finger over her vein, which felt as weird as when Micajah kissed there. As soon as Ash let her go she put her hand over her stomach again, protectively this time, and leaned into Andrew, waiting for him to say something or do something or go somewhere, whatever.

Andrew did not jump, but his head swiveled quickly at the tap on his shoulder. He didn't fidget or glare when Ash grabbed her wrist, he was realizing he needed the mutt. "We're going home." he told them both. He wrapped an arm around Praxis and waited for Ash to touch his shoulder. Not only was he too young to Disaparate, he didn't know where the house was. So, once he was sure the three of them were connected, Anew turned on the spot and they were gone.
